New Zealand

march 26

Flew into Auckland from Sydney, did a quick boat cruise in the harbour and then flew into beautiful, makes you want to cry it's so pretty, Queenstown.  There were green velvety mountains in every direction, some snow-capped  and reflected in crystal blue water and it is a place of high thrills and laid back tours, whatever you fancy.

Instead of opting for the stunt planes or bungee jumping, I took a boat tour through Milford Sound.  This place looks like jurassic park, with huge mountains jutting out of the water and waterfalls filtering down them like arteries.  It was very peaceful floating to what looked like the edge of the earth.

march 30

Horseback riding at Dart stables through unreal scenery of fields, streams and wildflowers.  I literally rode a movie star, as my horse was in the movie, Narnia ;)

Back to Auckland and a trip to Rotorua springs and Wai-o-tapu.  There's geysers, lakes of blue, green and orange (not swimmable) and you can have a traditional Maori lunch that's cooked underground.
